Pinewoods Camp is located between two fresh water ponds near Plymouth, MA. Classes and evening dances are held in wood-floored, open-sided pavilions. All campers enjoy afternoon tea and parties after the evening dances in the Camphouse. Long Pond and Round Pond offer swimming, canoeing, and a setting for the occasional aquatic dance. Housing is in small, screened cabins and cottages, and meals take place in an open-sided dining hall overlooking Long Pond. Campers share modern bathroom and shower facilities. To help keep the cost of camp reasonable, all campers are assigned daily work jobs, such as table setting.

The cost of this fabulous session: $310 for adult members of RSCDS and CDS-BC, $330 for non-members. Teens 13-17, $240 for members, $260 non-members.

Some work exchange positions are available, which cover half the fee.

Apply NOW to ensure your space at ESS 2007!

Each camper must register in advance. Campers aged 18 years or over may apply on their own. Campers between 13 and 17 are welcome but must apply with a parent or guardian. Acceptances will be sent by e-mail beginning in late April. If you do not have e-mail, we will send an acceptance by regular mail. Full payment is due by June 2, 2007.

Upon acceptance to ESS, you will receive a packet of materials that includes directions to Pinewoods, travel options, suggestions for what to bring (and not to bring) to camp, and more specific detail on general Pinewoods policies and this year’s special events. We anticipate that those will include the traditional Maypole, if the weather cooperates, a silent auction to benefit ESS, a ceilidh, and a session on The Pinewoods Reel Demystified.
